Terms of Use

These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement govern your use of Magmug. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility
Magmug is a dating and social application for users aged 18 and over only. By using Magmug you confirm that you are at least 18. Accounts belonging to minors will be closed when detected.

Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abuse
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Magmug. Prohibited content and conduct include: anything that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors; harassment, threats, hate speech, or violence; non-consensual or unlawful sexual content; impersonation or misrepresenting your age; spam, solicitation, or scams; sharing others' private information without consent; and any attempt to hack, disrupt, or extract data from the service. We provide tools to report content and block users, and we may remove content and suspend or permanently terminate violating accounts without notice. We aim to act on reports of objectionable content and remove the content and the offending user within 24 hours. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you submit and grant us a license to host and display it solely to operate, secure, and improve the service. You are responsible for your content and must have the rights to share it.

Automated Characters
Magmug includes interactive characters whose replies may be generated automatically using a Google service. Such replies may be inaccurate and may not come from a real person. Please do not rely on them for advice and do not share sensitive personal information with them.

Account Responsibility
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device and credentials secure. One person, one account; do not impersonate others or transfer your account.

Subscriptions, Purchases, and Virtual Currency
Magmug offers optional in-app purchases, including the virtual currency (Gems) and auto-renewing subscriptions such as Premium, billed through the App Store or Google Play; we do not receive your full payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Gems and consumable items have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable except where required by law. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple or Google.

Safety
Your interactions with other users are your responsibility. We do not run background checks or verify identities. Never send money to people you meet on the app, and take care when meeting new people.

Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or to protect the service or other users. You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

Disclaimers and Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that automatically generated content is accurate or appropriate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Magmug is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Apple and Google
On Apple devices this agreement is between you and Magmug, not Apple; Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms. Your use is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms or the Google Play Terms of Service, as applicable.
